Folashade Alloh

Folashade Alloh is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health Studies at the University of Wolverhampton, affiliated with the School of Public Health Studies under the Faculty of Education, Health & Wellbeing. Her work bridges public health, biomedical sciences, and health inequality research.

• Education: BSc in Biochemistry (University of Jos), MSc and PhD in Public Health (Bournemouth University), and a PGCE (University of East London).

Her research explores non-communicable diseases (NCDs), particularly diabetes management and mental health disparities among Black African and minority populations in the UK and globally. She investigates behavioral change, health inequality, environmental health, and global health challenges. Her publications include systematic reviews and qualitative studies on diabetes care, mental health impacts of pandemics, and socioeconomic factors in healthcare. Notable awards include Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy.
