Floris Rutjes

Prof. Floris Rutjes serves as Professor of Synthetic Organic Chemistry at Radboud University Nijmegen within the Faculty of Science. He concurrently holds influential external positions including Vice-President of the European Chemical Society (since 2024) and Chairs the Scientific Advisory Boards at Amsterdam's J.H. van 't Hoff Institute and Leiden's Institute for Chemistry.

His research program strategically integrates fundamental organic chemistry with commercial translation, focusing on sustainable synthesis methodologies, bioactive small molecules, bio-orthogonal click-probes, and microreactor flow systems.
