Florian Sebastian Podgoreanu

Florian Sebastian Podgoreanu is a Senior Lecturer and Accompanist at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where he has been teaching in the Department of Wind & Percussion Instruments since 2013. Born in Romania in 1985, he began his musical studies in Ploiești and later attended the George Enescu Music Lyceum in Bucharest. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Piano from the Mozarteum University, completed with distinction under professors Cordelia Höfer-Teutsch and Imre Rohmann.

His research and performance interests span piano, wind and percussion instruments, chamber music, vocal ensemble performance (as a baritone in 'Cantosonor'), and musical composition. He has performed internationally across Europe, including venues like the Berlin Philharmonic.

He received multiple national and international awards for piano and composition during his formative years in Romania, Belgium, Austria, and Italy. His pedagogical approach is informed by masterclasses with renowned artists including Serghei Dorensky, Lory Wallfish, and Trevor Pinock.
