Florian Kock is Professor of Tourism Management and Director of the Center for Tourism and Hospitality Management at Copenhagen Business School. A behavioral scientist, he integrates psychology and biology to understand human behavior in tourism and hospitality. His Carlsberg Foundation-funded project examines 'coolness' in cities, personalities, and sustainable consumption.
His research appears in leading journals and has received the Tietgen Award and Desmond Slattery Award. Media outlets including FAZ, DIE ZEIT, and Politiken feature his work. He teaches Consumer Psychology and Global Marketing Management, supervising PhD students in consumer behavior and tourism. Current projects investigate sustainable consumption interventions and pandemic impacts on tourism solidarity.
