Florent Rivals is an ICREA Research Professor at the Catalan Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution (IPHES) since 2013. He holds a PhD in Prehistory (2002) from the University of Perpignan and has conducted postdoctoral research at the American Museum of Natural History (2004) and Universität Hamburg (2005). His work focuses on Neanderthal behavioral ecology, paleoecology, and dental microwear analysis.
