Florence LAUTEL-RIBSTEIN is a Senior Lecturer in Translation Studies and English Literature at the University of Artois, France, within the Faculty of Languages. Her research focuses on the tripartite pillars of translation studies—history, theory, and practice—while pioneering work on semantic forms and phenomenological approaches to literary translation. She founded the Société Française de Traductologie (SoFT) in 2014 and the Society for the Study of Practices and Theories in Translation (SEPTET), and created the prestigious Grand Prix de Traductologie award.

Labs/Teams: She leads the CoTraLis research group and contributes to the Textes et Cultures center, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue on translation’s role in cultural and philosophical discourse.
