Fiona Truscott

Dr. Fiona Truscott is an Associate Professor (Teaching) at the University College London (UCL), affiliated with the Centre for Engineering Education and the Integrated Engineering Programme within the Faculty of Engineering. She leads the Engineering Challenges Module, a cross-faculty team project for first-year undergraduates. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary teaching methodologies, teamwork dynamics in engineering education, and integrating social science concepts into technical curricula.

Dr. Truscott holds a BA/MSc in Natural Sciences (Chemistry) from the University of Cambridge and a DPhil in Organic Chemistry from the University of Oxford. She has held academic positions at UCL since 2018, progressing from Teaching Fellow to her current role. Prior to this, she conducted postdoctoral research in Biochemical Engineering at UCL (2014–2018) and in France at the Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles (2013–2014).
