Dr Fiona Charnley is Professor of Circular Innovation and Co-Director of the Exeter Centre for Circular Economy at the University of Exeter Business School. She also serves as a Senior Associate at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). Her work focuses on design, innovation, and manufacturing strategies for transitioning to a circular economy.
Research Interests
Charnley’s research spans interdisciplinary approaches to circular economy implementation, including digital technologies for decision-making in circular systems and the development of self-healing materials to extend product lifespans. She emphasizes systemic changes in resource use and value creation.
