Filippos Proedrou

Filippos Proedrou is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Business and Creative Industries at the University of South Wales. His research focuses on EU politics, energy geopolitics, climate policy, and the interplay between energy transitions and geopolitical dynamics. He holds an Academic Fellowship with the Welsh Parliament advising on Wales' climate policy.

Key research areas include EU-Russia relations, Black Sea geopolitics, energy security, and the implications of decarbonization strategies under global political pressures. He leads projects like WiseGRID, exploring energy transition governance frameworks.
