Ferenc Wolter

Ferenc Wolter is Professor for Modelling and Simulation of Technical Systems and Processes at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Germany. His research integrates machine-learning techniques with production management to optimize industrial processes.

Research interests lie at the intersection of engineering, machine learning, and operations research. He focuses on leveraging data-driven models to forecast production lead times, enhance job-shop scheduling, and quantify critical planning parameters in manufacturing environments.

He is currently contributing to two funded projects that apply machine-learning models to sales forecasting and lead-time determination, respectively.
