Prof. Dr.-Ing. Felix Freiling is a Professor of Computer Science at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) and a member of the bidt Board of Directors. His research focuses on forensic informatics, applying computer science methods to legal system questions, particularly securing digital traces, tool-supported analysis of digital evidence, and technical aspects of legal admissibility. He co-founded Germany's first part-time bachelor's and master's programs in digital forensics and serves as spokesperson for the DFG-funded graduate school Cybercrime and Forensic Informatics.
