Felipe Flores is a PhD student in Planning, Design and Construction and Design Studio Instructor at the Gibbs College of Architecture, University of Oklahoma. His research focuses on indigenous territorial sovereignty, post-development landscapes in the Andean Amazon, and sustainable design practices.

Research interests include visceral geographies, hempcrete material innovation, and integrating indigenous dwelling patterns into regional planning. He founded FG Arquitectos (2015), a Quito-based studio specializing in eco-conscious design systems, and worked at DLZ Corporation as an Associate Architect (2020–present).
Current doctoral research project: 'Unveiling Indigenous Dwelling Patterns in Western Amazonia' explores policies reconciling indigenous rights with environmental conservation.
