About
Felice Giuliani is a Full Professor in the Department of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Parma, where he has been a faculty member since 1997, progressing from Assistant to Associate and then Full Professor. He has also held teaching and visiting positions at the University of Brescia, Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, and Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He is currently the Scientific Coordinator of the NRRP National Center for Sustainable Mobility and leader of the ECOSISTER project at the University of Parma.
His research focuses on transportation infrastructure, including the design, construction, and maintenance of pavements for roads, airports, and industrial areas. Key interests include sustainable and low-energy road materials, rheological characterization of bitumens, alternative materials, road safety, accident reconstruction, and the history of ancient roads, particularly Roman roads.
His recent publications highlight an integration of modern technologies such as AI, digital twins, and UAV photogrammetry into traditional civil engineering, particularly in monitoring rail joints and pothole repairs. This reflects a shift toward smart and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
