Federico Pendenza is an Associate Lecturer in Music Education at the University of York's School of Arts and Creative Technologies. He holds a PhD (2023) examining perceptions of the Alexander Technique in UK music institutions and an MA in Music Education (2018, Distinction). His research focuses on music pedagogy, student wellbeing, and the integration of health practices in music education.

Research interests include Alexander Technique’s role in music education, mental health initiatives for arts students, and music projects supporting refugees via Common Ground. Award-winning performer, Federico has collaborated with experimental groups like The Assembled and led guitar ensembles. He teaches at the University of York and Durham University, emphasizing technical and pedagogical innovation.
