Dr. Fatema Jahan is a Lecturer at the University of the West of Scotland's School of Education and Social Sciences. She holds an MSc in 'Gender, Development and Globalisation' from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a PhD in 'Human Geography' from University College London (UCL). Previously, she worked as an Affiliate Academic Visitor at UCL and served as a Lecturer and Associate Professor in Women and Gender Studies at the University of Dhaka for over a decade. She currently teaches modules in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program, including 'Comparative Governance and Public Administration' and 'The State in a Global Order.'
Her research focuses on Gender and Public Policy, Labour Market dynamics, Comparative Politics, International Political Economy, Globalisation, and issues of Class, Gender, and Racial Inequality. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to Social Sciences, Sociology, and International Relations.
Dr. Jahan is currently accepting PhD students and supervising projects in Public Policy and Governance.
