Farina Barth is a Professor of Skills at the University at Buffalo School of Law. She teaches first-year Legal Analysis, Writing, and Research, as well as upper-level courses on Post-Conviction Remedies. Her research focuses on wrongful conviction compensation. She previously served as a public defender in Buffalo City Court, representing indigent defendants through trials and post-conviction proceedings. Barth currently sits on the board of the Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo, Inc.
- Education: Juris Doctor from University at Buffalo School of Law (active in Buffalo Law Review, Moot Court Board, Innocence and Justice Project); Bachelor of Arts (Political Science, minor in Russian) from University of Toronto (with honors).
Her professional practice experience includes extensive trial advocacy and appellate work. Barth is licensed to practice in New York State and federal courts in the Western and Northern Districts of New York.
