Farid Talebnia Rowshan is a Research Assistant Professor at the Gallogly College of Engineering, University of Oklahoma, and Director of the OU Bioprocessing Core Facility. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology (2008), an M.S. in Biochemical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tehran.
His research focuses on bioprocess engineering, including fermentation technology, biofuel development, biopharmaceutical processes, and nanoparticle synthesis. Key areas include bio-based product valorization, bioprocess optimization, and the application of statistical modeling. He leads the OU Bioprocessing Core Facility, which bridges academia and industry to advance biomanufacturing and biotechnology in Oklahoma.
His scientific awards include the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (2020), BioReady Research Scientist certificate (2016), and an Outstanding Reviewer recognition from the Biochemical Engineering Journal (2016). His work spans over 20 peer-reviewed articles, emphasizing biofuel production, nanoparticle applications, and process optimization.
Dr. Talebnia also oversees industry partnerships and academic programs like the OU Bioprocessing Certificate, designed to train students in biomanufacturing and bioprocess engineering. The facility houses state-of-the-art equipment for upstream/downstream processing, bioreactors, and analytical tools.
