Fandy Tjiptono is an Associate Professor at the School of Marketing and International Business at Victoria University of Wellington (VUW) in New Zealand, where he has been teaching for several years. His recent publications show a strong trend toward examining consumer behavior in digital contexts, sustainability issues, and pandemic-related consumer responses. He frequently publishes in top marketing journals including European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Ethics, Psychology & Marketing, and Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, demonstrating consistent scholarly output across multiple relevant domains.
Professor Tjiptono actively supervises doctoral students and has secured research grants, including a 2024-2026 project on non-alcoholic beer as a commercial and health opportunity. He teaches a variety of marketing courses including Consumer Behaviour, International Marketing, Tourism Marketing, and Market Research at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
With more than 12 years of consulting experience across FMCG, publishing, telecommunication, and banking industries, Professor Tjiptono bridges academic research with practical business applications. His leadership extends beyond the classroom, having served in various administrative roles at university, faculty, and department levels throughout his career.
