Dr. Ewa Trutkowski is Senior Researcher at Leibniz-Centre General Linguistics (ZAS) working on the DFG project 'Agreement mismatches in relative clauses' and currently serves as Acting Professor of German Linguistics at University of Wuppertal. She completed her PhD in General Linguistics at University of Potsdam (2014) and diploma at the same institution (2004).
Research examines syntactic agreement phenomena, gender-inclusive language development, and historical German morphosyntax. Publications investigate grammatical gender systems, relative clause structures, and sociolinguistic aspects of neologisms in German.
Teaching includes seminars on German syntax, linguistic variation, and gender linguistics at multiple European universities. Media engagements focus on public discourse around inclusive language reforms in German-speaking contexts.
