Prof. Dr. Eva von Contzen is a Professor of English Literature at the University of Freiburg, leading the ERC-funded project 'Lists in Literature and Culture'. She holds a PhD from Ruhr-University Bochum and has taught at institutions including the University of Toronto and Ruhr-University Bochum. She serves as Managing Director of the Mittelalterzentrum (MAZ) and Deputy Equal Opportunity Officer at the Faculty of Philology.
Her research focuses on narrative theory, medieval literature, and cognitive approaches to literature.
