Eva Meschede

Professor Eva Meschede is affiliated with the College of Artistic Therapies at Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Umwelt Nürtingen-Geislingen (HfWU), where she has served as Professor of Art and Art Therapy since 2021. She also leads the external Bachelor's program in Art Therapy and has held academic leadership roles in artistic therapies education.

• Education: Aufbaustudium in Artistic Design and Therapy at Akademie der Bildenden Künste München (1990–1995); Sculpture studies at ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Enschede, Netherlands (1994); Exchange program at School of the Art Institute of Chicago, USA.

Her research focuses on the intersection of art therapy, social integration, and creative practices in clinical and community settings. She has been actively involved in artistic projects for refugees, including atelier work with young asylum seekers in Munich (2008–2016), and integrates experiential art-making into therapeutic frameworks.

Eva Meschede combines academic leadership with practical engagement, having taught at institutions like Hochschule Darmstadt (2001–2013) and contributed to art therapy commissions. Her career spans over two decades of teaching, project development, and international artistic collaborations.
