Eva Labro

Eva Labro is the Michael W. Haley Distinguished Professor of Accounting and Area Chair of Accounting at the Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her work bridges management accounting with economics, operations management, and strategic procurement. She focuses on costing system design, decision-making, and performance measurement, with a focus on healthcare and multinational firm dynamics.

Labro holds a PhD from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), with additional studies in Denmark and the UK. Her research has been funded by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants. She serves as Editor at The Accounting Review, Associate Editor at Journal of Accounting Research, and Senior Editor at Production and Operations Management.

Her research has earned notable awards, including the Weatherspoon Award for Distinguished Research (2022) and multiple recognitions for impactful contributions to management accounting practice.
