Eurydice Kata

Eurydice Kata is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where she teaches the Basics of Graphic Design to first- and second-year students. She is also a graduate of both Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk and English Philology at the University of Gdańsk.

Her research and practice focus on the intersection of form and meaning, visual semiotics, and narrative theory. She is particularly known for her work in material typography (the subject of her doctoral dissertation), while also exploring humanism in design and mythology as cultural and visual frameworks. Her design philosophy emphasizes experimental approaches to typography and branding.

Kata co-founded the re:design studio, which specializes in visual identities, posters, exhibitions, and books, earning international recognition. Her work at the studio complements her academic role by bridging practical design innovation with pedagogy.
