Adam Pękalski

Adam Pękalski is a faculty member at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, affiliated with the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts. He currently serves as an assistant to Professor Tomasz Bogusławski in the First Studio of Graphic Design Fundamentals.

• Education: Graphic Design (MFA, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, 2000, with distinction)

His research and professional work focus on Graphic Design, Book Illustration, and Visual Communication, with specialization in creating illustrations for children's literature, board game design, and theater poster aesthetics. He has collaborated with Bilkent University's Department of Graphic Design (Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture) as a visiting instructor from 2007 to 2018.

Adam Pękalski has authored illustrations and graphic design for over twenty books targeting children and young adults, alongside projects in board games and theater posters. His work bridges academic teaching and practical applications in visual storytelling.
