Eugene Howard

Eugene Howard is a Senior City Planner with the City and County of Denver, working in the Community Planning and Development Department. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Colorado Denver’s College of Architecture and Planning (CAP), contributing to urban planning education. His professional role involves managing area plans under Denver’s Neighborhood Planning Initiative, including the community-driven West Area Plan, which focuses on land use, zoning, transportation, affordable housing, parks, and cultural inclusion.

Educated at the University of Georgia (Bachelor’s in Telecommunications and Broadcast Journalism) and CU Denver (Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning), Howard is a certified planner with the American Planning Association.
