Esther Benoit

Esther Benoit is an Associate Professor of Practice in the School of Education and Human Development, with a dual role as Director of Graduate Counseling Programs and CACREP Accreditation Coordinator. She is also affiliated with the Department of Educational Leadership as an Adjunct in Educational Leadership and Counseling.

• BA in Psychology, Pittsburg State University (2006)
• MEd in Marriage and Family Counseling, College of William and Mary (2006)
• PhD in Counselor Education, College of William and Mary (2009)

Her research focuses on counselor education, supervision, and relational/systemic therapy, emphasizing career sustainability and integrating rest into professional practices. She actively teaches counseling curriculum and has clinical experience since 2006, including operating a private practice since 2019.
