Eryn Linnae Pierdolla

Eryn Linnae Pierdolla is an Associate Professor of Instruction in the Department of Agricultural Sciences at Texas State University, College of Science and Engineering. She joined the university in Spring 2019 after a career as a high school science teacher. Her academic background includes a B.S. and M.S. in Poultry Science from Texas A&M University (2007, 2009) and an Ed.D. in Agricultural Education from Texas Tech University (2022).

Research & Teaching: Dr. Pierdolla specializes in agricultural education and animal science, with teaching interests spanning all areas of animal agriculture and agricultural education. Her research focuses on teacher motivation in agricultural education and poultry science topics like feed efficiency and disease prevention. She currently teaches courses such as AGSC 1110 (Careers in Agriculture), AGSC 1445 (Basic Animal Science), and AGSC 4328 (Advanced Animal Science: Poultry & Swine).

• Awards: 2022 College of Applied Arts Excellence in Teaching Award, Alpha Chi National Honor Society Favorite Professor (2022), and 2020-2021 Excellence in Teaching Nominee.
• Grants: Co-PI on a $5M USDA NIFA RAISE Grant (2023-2028) supporting agriculture internships and experiential learning.
• Service: Member of Western AAAE Program Improvement Committee, Nontenure Line Faculty Committee, and Department Governance Committee. Active in poultry judging events and agricultural science fair judging.

Labs/Teams: Involved in the RAISE Grant initiative promoting student agriculture engagement through internships and scholarships.
