Doug Morrish

Doug Morrish is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Sciences at Texas State University. He holds a concurrent appointment as Associate Dean in the College of Science and Engineering.

Research Interests focus on agricultural education methodologies, including student teacher placement systems, technical competency frameworks, and factors affecting student success in higher education. His work also explores innovative agricultural technologies like hydroponic shipping container farms and examines demographic/economic impacts on global food security.

Publications include studies on hydroponic container farming feasibility, climate change economics, and security design in career and technical education facilities.

Awards include multiple recognitions for teaching excellence and service from the College of Applied Arts and Alpha Chi Honor Society.
