Erwin Dejasse holds multiple academic positions: he is a researcher, teacher, and curator at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), where he leads the Be Comics Lab project in partnership with the Royal Library of Belgium (KBR). Additionally, he serves as a lecturer at the University of Liège and as a professor at ESA Saint-Luc.
His research spans comics studies, outsider art, and punk culture. He has authored significant works including "Morris, Franquin, Peyo et le dessin animé" (2005, co-authored with Philippe Capart), "Art Brut et bande dessinée" (2023), and "La Musique silencieux de Muñoz et Sampayo" (2004), which was awarded the SoBD/9e Art prize. His work explores intersections between sequential art, marginal cultural movements, and non-traditional artistic expressions.
