Dr. Erin McIntyre is an Assistant Professor in the OT Programs at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences College of Rehabilitative Sciences. She holds a Doctor of Occupational Therapy, Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy, and Bachelor of Arts in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California. Her clinical and research focus centers on psychosocial occupational therapy, particularly working with adults experiencing serious mental illness in community-based settings.
Her research examines psychosis as a human experience, trauma-informed care frameworks, hoarding disorder, and the integration of experts by experience in academic settings. She contributes to the AOTA Psychosis Community of Practice and represents the Occupational Therapy Association of California in the California Coalition for Mental Health.
