About
Dr. Erin Higgins is Lecturer in Biomedical Science at the University of Glasgow's Undergraduate Medical School. Her research investigates molecular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular pathologies, with particular focus on cardiac remodelling processes and atherosclerosis development.
Current work explores calcium-sensing receptor signaling pathways and their role in lipid metabolism dysregulation. Collaborative projects examine therapeutic targets for heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.
Laboratory approaches include cellular signaling analysis and molecular characterization of vascular dysfunction in cardiometabolic diseases.
