Erich Riesen is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Philosophy at Texas A&M University, holding the Sue and Harry Bovay Chair of History and Ethics of Professional Engineering. Previously, he served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Fort Lewis College. He earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Colorado, Boulder (2022), an M.A. from Northern Illinois University (2015), and a B.A. in Philosophy & Psychology from the University of San Diego (2012). His research focuses on ethics of emerging technologies, including AI, autonomous weapons, and social media. He has published in AI & Ethics and The Journal of Military Ethics. Riesen is also committed to philosophy outreach, having coordinated programs for K-12 students in Colorado. His courses at Texas A&M include 'Ethics in a Digital Age.'
