Martin Peterson (1975) is the Sue and Harry Bovay Professor of History and Ethics of Professional Engineering at Texas A&M University. From 2014 he served as Professor of Ethics at Eindhoven University of Technology, and previously held research and teaching appointments at the University of Cambridge, KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Luleå University of Technology.
His research focuses on ethical issues raised by technology, risk and uncertainty, together with foundational questions in ethical theory and decision theory. Peterson has authored six books, including the forthcoming Ethics in the Gray Area: A Gradualist Theory of Right and Wrong (Cambridge UP, July 2023) and Ethics for Engineers (Oxford UP, 2019).
