Eric Weeks is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Photography & Video Department at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design (PCA&D). He holds an MFA from Yale University and a BFA from the School of Visual Arts. His work spans photography, video, and curation, focusing on human relationships, environmental themes, and narrative exploration. Weeks has exhibited internationally, with permanent collections in institutions like the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and The Art Institute of Chicago. He has authored two monographs and received notable awards including the Individual Creative Artist Fellowship Grant (2007) and Best Environmental Film (2023). His curatorial projects include exhibitions in China, South Korea, and New York.
Research interests include the intersection of art and ecology, as seen in films like The Wind Dies The Sun Sets, and the interplay between portraiture and landscape. Grants include PCA&D Faculty Research Awards (2021–2022) and residencies like the Montello Foundation (2022). Collaborations with Joshua Reiman and global institutions reflect his commitment to cross-cultural dialogue.
Weeks has lectured at institutions worldwide, including Zayed University and Kyungil University. His work is represented by Galerie Catherine & André Hug in Paris.
