About
Eric TOMASELLA is a Professor at the Institut de Chimie de Clermont Ferrand (ICCF), Université Clermont Auvergne. He leads the MATEPP research team (Materials, Processes, Plasmas) and is part of the Inorganic Materials (MI) department. His expertise includes low-pressure and atmospheric plasma processes for silicon oxynitride/tantalum materials, polymer surface treatment, and powder processing, with applications in energy materials (photovoltaics, solar thermal). He holds a HDR (Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches, 2007) and has been a Professor since 2016. Prior roles include Maître de Conférences (2001–2016) and postdoctoral research in Switzerland.
- Education: PhD in Material Chemistry (1995–1999, Montbéliard), HDR (2007)
- Administration: Director of UCA PARTNER platforms, Master of Chemistry program leader, and coordinator of the Resource Thematic in I-SITE CAP 20-25
Research focuses on plasma-deposited thin films, energy materials, and surface engineering. International collaboration includes a scientific agreement with Beihang University (Beijing, China). Teaching spans undergraduate and graduate levels in materials science, characterization, and solar thermal applications.
