Eric Rivera is an Associate Professor in the Department of Dance + Choreography at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts. A Puerto Rican native, he holds an MFA in Choreography from SUNY Purchase College. His career spans 13 seasons with Ballet Hispanico of New York, principal roles with Minnesota Ballet, and international performances across Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean. He is an ABT Certified Teacher (Primary-7 levels) and actively integrates Hispanic heritage into his creative and pedagogical work.
