Eric Puchner

Eric Puchner is an Associate Professor and Department Chair in the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University, part of the Krieger School of Arts & Sciences. His academic focus centers on creative writing, fiction, and literary studies. He has previously taught at Stanford University, Claremont McKenna College, and San Francisco State University.

His research and creative work include four published books, such as the novel Model Home (PEN/Faulkner Award finalist) and short story collections like Last Day on Earth. His fiction and essays have appeared in prominent literary journals including GQ, Granta, and Tin House.
