Eric M. Lui

Eric M. Lui is the Laura J. and L. Douglas Meredith Professor for Teaching Excellence in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Syracuse University. He holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University and specializes in steel structures, structural stability, earthquake engineering, and damage identification. His research focuses on nonlinear behavior of steel structures, seismic design, and energy dissipation systems. He has authored/co-authored numerous publications and serves as editor-in-chief of two journals. Lui has received multiple awards, including the Crouse Hinds Award for Excellence in Education (1997) and the ECS Faculty Excellence Award (2009).
