Eric Larson

Dr. Eric Larson is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Bobby B. Lyle School of Engineering, Southern Methodist University (SMU), with a courtesy appointment in Operations Research & Engineering Management. He is the Bobby B. Lyle Endowed Professor in Engineering Innovation and a member of multiple institutes, including the Hunt Institute for Engineering Humanity, Darwin Deason Institute for Cybersecurity, and SMU AT&T Center for Virtualization.

His recent publications focus on interdisciplinary applications, including robotic surgery, automated molecular detection, sentinel satellite data analysis, and aviation workload prediction. These works integrate deep learning with sensor technology across healthcare, environmental monitoring, and cybersecurity.
