Eric Goedereis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology within the College of Science and Health at Webster University, St. Louis. He also serves as Co-Director of the Gerontology Department. Joining the faculty in 2009, he is a lifespan developmental psychologist with expertise in gerontology, health beliefs and behaviors across the lifespan, wellness, obesity, and social indicators of health.
Dr. Goedereis' educational background includes:
- Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Western Illinois University
- PhD from West Virginia University
His research focuses on how health beliefs and behaviors manifest differently across the lifespan, spanning gerontology, wellness, obesity, and social epidemiology. He is particularly interested in the interplay between social factors and health outcomes throughout the human life course.
Dr. Goedereis enjoys mentoring undergraduate students and promoting student research. In his role as Faculty Research Director for the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP), he supports faculty in advancing their scholarly research agendas.
