Ergin Sezgin

Professor Ergin Sezgin is affiliated with the Texas A&M University through the George and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Institute for Fundamental Physics and Astronomy. He received his bachelor's degree from Hacettepe University (Turkey) in 1975 and his Ph.D. from Stony Brook University in 1980.

Research Interests: Sezgin's work focuses on quantum gravity and supergravity, superstring theory, higher-dimensional extended objects (notably supermembranes), infinite-dimensional symmetries, and metric-affine gravity. His recent publications explore ghost- and tachyon-free theories, exceptional field theory, and supergravity models.

Recent Publications analyze 11D supergravity, E7(7) exceptional field theory, and R-symmetry gauged supergravities. These works span high-energy theoretical physics, quantum field theory, and geometric approaches to gravity.
