Enzo Falco is an Associate Professor at the University of Trento's Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering. His research focuses on sustainable urban development, spatial planning, and ecosystem services. He teaches courses on Digital Urban Planning and Urban Techniques with Design Laboratory.
Research interests center on integrating mapping technologies with urban analysis, transfer of development rights (TDR), and ecological planning approaches. His work examines how urban design decisions impact territorial contexts and seeks sustainable solutions for climate-resilient cities.
Current research projects include BIO-Agora (Horizon Europe), examining biodiversity knowledge for policymaking, and BioValue, investigating biodiversity in spatial policy. Falco is founding editor of the Italian Journal of Planning Practice and member of several professional associations including AESOP and PLPR.
