Endia Lindo

Endia Lindo is an Associate Professor of Special Education at the Texas Christian University (TCU) College of Education. She joined TCU in 2016, drawn to its teacher-scholar model that bridges research and teaching excellence. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly addressing systemic inequities in special education through cultural competence and carcerality-focused interventions.

Dr. Lindo’s research focuses on improving reading comprehension for students with learning disabilities, exploring how cultural factors influence intervention effectiveness. She advocates for equity in education by ensuring students’ cultural identities are affirmed. She co-edited Racism by Another Name: Black Students, Overrepresentation, and Carcerality in Special Education, highlighting marginalized voices and systemic biases.

Her academic contributions span special education policy reform, teacher training, and SEL strategies to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline. She collaborates with TCU’s lab schools and Fort Worth ISD to test interventions in real-world settings.

Dr. Lindo is passionate about fostering a community where educators engage across differences. She emphasizes the importance of embracing diverse perspectives to enhance student and teacher experiences, advocating for policies that sustain cultural integrity in schools.
