Emily Sapa

Emily Sapa serves as an Adjunct Faculty member for the Alexander Technique at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama and Point Park University's Theatre Department. As an AmSAT-certified Alexander Technique teacher, flutist, and music educator, she maintains a Pittsburgh-based private practice working with actors, musicians, dancers, and individuals seeking improved coordination and chronic pain management strategies.

Her professional expertise spans the Alexander Technique, Performing Arts pedagogy, Music Education, Dance movement, Movement Rehabilitation, and Pain Management. She actively conducts Alexander Technique workshops throughout the Pittsburgh metropolitan area and surrounding tri-state region, applying somatic principles to enhance performance and daily movement efficiency.

Emily is an engaged member of the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT), contributing to the professional community while integrating her flute performance background into her educational methodology for performers.
