Emily Eaton

Emily Eaton is a Professor and Department Head in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Regina. Her work focuses on the political ecology and economy of fossil fuels, energy transitions, and climate justice.

• Research Themes: Fossil fuel industry influence, just transitions, community-based research, decolonization, and climate policy equity.
• Current Grant: Co-investigator on a SSHRC Insight grant examining energy transition movements in Eastern Canada.
• Teaching: Community-engaged pedagogy addressing environmental and social crises.
