Emilio Zamora

Emilio Zamora is a Professor of History in the Department of History at the University of Texas at Austin, College of Liberal Arts, actively teaching courses on Mexican American history and modern Texas history as recently as Spring 2024.

Professor Zamora specializes in Mexican American historical experiences, 20th-century Texas socio-political development, and U.S. ethnic dynamics. His work critically examines immigration patterns, labor movements, and cultural identity formation within the American Southwest context, with emphasis on post-1900 historical trajectories.
