Emilee Howland is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Writing, Language & Literature at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Her academic journey includes a Ph.D. in English from the University of Missouri, an M.A. from the University of New Mexico, and a B.A. with a Sociology minor from the same institution. A first-generation and nontraditional graduate, she specializes in medieval and early modern British literature, particularly Arthurian romances and representations of magic. She actively engages with medievalism in modern works like Harry Potter and The Dark Tower series.
