Neil Davidson is an Instructor and Associate Director of First-Year Composition in the English Department at the University of Idaho. He holds an M.F.A. from the University of Idaho (2022), an M.A. from the University of California, Davis (2019), a B.A. from the University of Oregon (2015), and an A.A. from Linn-Benton Community College (2013). His teaching focuses on first-year composition, professional writing, and creative writing, including courses like English 101/102, Business Writing, Technical Writing, and Intermediate Fiction Writing.
Davidson’s research and creative work explore labor, gentrification, and the food service industry, influenced by his decade-long career as a line cook and baker. He is currently working on his first novel. His professional roles include coordinating first-year writing programs and mentoring students in creative and technical writing.
