Ellen Gee was a Professor and Chair of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Simon Fraser University (SFU) until her death in 2002. She held the role of Associate Dean in the Dean of Arts office for four years. Her research focused on Canadian demography, aging, family structures, and social policy. She significantly influenced First Nations programs and gerontology at SFU.
