Dr. Ellen Bolman Pullins is the Schmidt Research Professor of Sales & Sales Management and Professor of Marketing & International Business at the University of Toledo’s College of Business and Innovation. She holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from The Ohio State University (1996). Her research focuses on sales force development, customer response to personal selling, motivation, sales technology, and cross-cultural business dynamics. She has authored over 100 publications in journals like the Journal of Marketing Research and Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management.
Dr. Pullins has been recognized with prestigious awards including the Fulbright Scholar Award (2015), Fulbright Specialist Award, Gutteridge Dean’s Award, and McBane Special Recognition Award for international service. She actively contributes to professional associations and has taught globally, including a semester at the University of Eastern Finland.
Her recent research explores topics such as salesperson envy’s impact on customer relationships, B2B rapport-building strategies, and post-pandemic sales adaptations. She emphasizes bridging theory and practice in sales education and has pioneered frameworks for cross-cultural sales interactions.
